Omethoate-d3 is a carbamate dehydrogenase inhibitor, which is an isotopically labeled compound of carbamate in which the hydrogen atoms are replaced by deuterium. It is a colorless to pale yellow oily liquid. Omethoate-d3 is soluble in a variety of organic solvents, such as alcohols, ethers and ketones, but insoluble in water.
Omethoate-d3 are mainly used for pesticide research and quality control in agriculture. Due to its inhibition of carbamate dehydrogenase, it can interfere with the insect nervous system, causing its death. In addition, it can also be used as a detection of pesticide residues in crops.
